Higgsfield Credits Not Refunded After Failure
What to do when a failed or cancelled render still consumed credits from your balance.
Updated 13/08/2026
How credit holds usually work
Credits are typically reserved when a job starts and released if the render fails before output is produced. Release is not always instant, so wait a few minutes and reload your balance before reporting a loss.
When credits are not returned
- The job produced an output file, even one you dislike - that counts as a completed render.
- You cancelled after rendering had already begun.
- The job failed during a platform incident and automatic reconciliation has not run yet.
Evidence to collect
- The job or generation ID and the timestamp.
- The exact error message shown.
- Your balance before and after, from the credit history view.
Reduce future losses
Test with the shortest duration and cheapest model first, then scale up once the prompt works. Avoid batch-resubmitting during an incident - confirm the status page is clear first.
